About Beavers

Beavers meet on Monday and Friday evenings at the Scout Hut. Beavers take part in lots of activities and games with a focus on making friends and having fun. It is supported by a team of dedicated volunteers who are all DBS checked and compliant with the Scout Movement training.

If your child would like to try Beavers, they can come along for free for 4 trial weeks, just click the "Join Today" button below

Note: Our Friday colony is currently full and is operating a waiting list. If you apply we will let you know when spaces are available.

Uniform

Beaver uniform includes a blue jumper (on which all the badges are sewn) and a scarf in White Stewart tartan which represents that they are part of 1st Crownhill.

They will also need smart trousers, which can be either official Beaver activity trousers or smart school trousers, and smart black shoes or trainers. The shoes we recommend are their school shoes, and we will notify parents in advance if the Beavers will need wellies or stronger trainers for a particular night.

Badges

Beavers will earn badges as part of their activities at the Scout hut, but they can also earn badges for completing badge requirements through school activities, clubs or at home. Your Beaver leader can tell you what requirements badges have and what evidence they will need to award the badge.
